This 1963 American International Pictures (AIP) Gothic horror comedy entitled “The Raven” is based on Edgar Allen Poe’s story, directed by Roger Corman & starring Boris Karloff, Vincent Price, Peter Lorre & Jack Nicholson.
This original, vintage & authentic rare poster (30”x40”) for the 1963 release of “The Raven” featuring classic artwork by Reynold Brown is in good to very good condition. This size poster from the original release is quite rare. It has creases, very minor paper loss (primarily in bottom left corner border that does not affect images or artwork), pinholes, edge wear, small tears in border & unobtrusive marks or stains. The poster paper is thick which has helped preserve it. Overall the colors are vivid & the artwork featuring great scenes from the film as well as fantastic images of three horror film icons.
The film was shot in 15 days. It was part of a series of films that Corman made based on Poe stories.
